In most of the Nordic countries the water will often be too alkaline and therefore need the addition of acid to reduce the pH value. What is pH PH is a measurement of the acidity of the bathing water. It will always vary depending on the influence of the environment - for example the supply of rainwater and water disappearing through evaporation. The ideal pH value for the bathing water in a swimming pool is between 7.0 and 7.4. In order to maintain a healthy value and avoid the unpleasant effects of too alkaline bathing water, it is important that the water is continuously balanced. Easy pH takes care of this. How the bathing water is affected by a wrong pH value If the pH value is not adjusted on an ongoing basis, you can experience several adverse effects. One of the most significant is that the disinfection efficiency of water care products is significantly reduced. At a pH value of 8 the efficient is actually reduced by an entire 75%. Bathers will also be able to experience their eyes becoming irritated, the water smelling more of chlorine, and their skin becoming sore and dry. An improper pH balance can also cause corrosion damage to ladders and other equipment made of metal. The water can become cloudy and calcium deposits may settle on the liner and equipment. What is an Easy pH regulator" Easy pH is a compact automatic regulator with built-in dosing pump. The regulator is connected to a probe, which is mounted in a circulation system. The probe measures the current pH value in the water. The Easy pH controller is connected with a hose to a container with a pH balancing agent. The regulator compares the actual bathing water pH value with the ideal value. If the pH value is too high, the regulator adds pH balancing agent to the water until the ideal pH level is restored.
